I gave up stretching a long time ago. I tried all that, but your body will do what it can do. I'm 53 years old and can touch my toes, sometimes my palms to the floor. I can deadlift well and squat below parallel, all just by lifting.

My warmimg up is just to lightly move around and then do warmup sets for the exercise I'm doing without overdoing the reps and getting worn out.
